You Wouldn't Know It- but this is where I've found the most peace since moving to Colorado. I've gone back and forth with deciding if I wanted to share where this is but ultimately... I can't do it. Sorry, not sorry. *shrug*
This trailhead has 60-someodd miles of trails for hiking, biking, and even taking your horse for a stroll. The best part of it all is this stairway built into the trail leading up to bliss.
Look one direction, you're overlooking most of a small, but very alive, city. 18-wheelers buzzing over those little bumps on the highway meant to grab your attention... Turn around, you're looking into the horizon over miiiles of rolling hills. Crows, Ravens, Hawks & Vultures flying as far as you can see. You could very well see a Fox slithering between the Juniper if you look long enough.
At the top of this stairway is the only place I'm 100% confident that "reality" (using that term v e r y loosley) will melt away and I can just... be.
